Link Building or content. I have been going back and forth in my SEO strategy. My content is important to me, and I hope it is to Google. Should I be building more quality links and pursue that tactic? Well sometimes, well most of the time I really try to do both. I try to have good content, and I really want to get Quality links and pursue my favorite “Keywords”. Links are important to Google and everyone knows that. Links are not the only thing important to Google though. Google uses over 100 indicators to determine your contents relevance. We can’t focus on all of them even though it would be nice. Personally I think the following items are the most important.

  1. Content of the website.
  2. Links pointing to your website and it’s various pages.
  3. All the Meta Tags. Title Tag, Description Tag, H1, H2 and H3 text. There are a lot more and use them all.

My competitors are building links, and pursuing quality content, so I think it is really not an option to chose to use only one method. I think it is an everything you can do and more. Can you work smarter, and harder than the next guy or girl out there.

I know I am just a Hamster on a Treadmill, but I have to keep running don’t I?

When I was looking on YouTube, I thought I am going to look and see what others are saying. That’s when I saw a really great video by MOZ.com, and it was titled ” SEO’s Dilemma Link Building vs Content Marketing – Whiteboard Friday“. I think this video is just great, and I think it has information that could help anyone with the same questions so here you go. I hope you like it as much as I did.
